In the meantime, on the eighth of July 2021, the MTN Group and the AfricaCDC launched the One Extra Push initiative, a three-task, phased marketing campaign geared toward:
- Reinforcing the significance of/ motivating for continued mask-wearing
- Driving vaccine security and influencing vaccine acceptance
- In the end celebrating vaccine adoption.
This initiative is a seamless, pure extension of the Africa Union’s ‘Tailored Africa Joint Continental Technique for COVID-19 Pandemic’ and focuses on three key levers – ‘Improve Prevention, Improve Monitoring and Improve Remedy’. It’s endorsed by Africa’s Well being Ministers.
The primary section of One Extra Push is centered across the ‘Stop’ lever/advocating for and reinforcing the significance of continued mask-wearing (together with different virus transmission prevention measures).
