The Indonesian Embassy in Khartoum Facilitates the Return of Indonesian Residents from Battle Areas in Sudan

​​The Indonesian Embassy in Khartoum on Monday (20/11) facilitated the return to Indonesia of Indonesian citizen a.n. Ike Herlina (48 years outdated) from Bandung – West Java who works in Khartoum and was affected by the Sudan warfare.

Ike is a PMI within the family sector who works for a Sudanese citizen who initially lived in Bahri – Khartoum for 10 years. In the beginning of the battle in Sudan, Ike selected to dwell in Omdurman together with his employer. Nevertheless, with the widespread armed battle which continues to today and threatens his security and life, Ike requested the Indonesian Embassy for assist to facilitate his return to Indonesia.

Indonesian Ambassador Sunarko, when sending off Ike’s return from Port Sudan, expressed his gratitude that he was in a protected place and able to return to his homeland to rejoin his household in his homeland. Ike’s return to Indonesia was accompanied by officers from the Indonesian Embassy in Khartoum.
