ANC and Democratic Alliance strike historic coalition settlement

South Africa’s ANC has agreed to enter a historic “authorities of nationwide unity” with the opposition Democratic Alliance (DA) and smaller events, in what would be the first coalition authorities of the post-apartheid period.
