The primary flight is scheduled to take off on 29 June with 4 flights per week between Or Tambo and Abidjan. This new route will join travellers to different 16 different West African international locations, with Air Côte d’Ivoire flying to locations in Gabon, Nigeria, Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Cameroon, DRC and Togo amongst others.

Air Côte d’Ivoire CEO Laurent Loukou believes the brand new route between Abidjan and Johannesburg might be key to opening up alternatives for funding and bettering bilateral commerce between the 2 international locations.

‘We imagine in the way forward for Africa simply as we imagine in the way forward for our airline. We’re making daring new plans for our future and that features this new route to attach South Africa with Ivory Coast. Africa is open for enterprise and we need to make it simpler for enterprise to occur,’ Loukou acknowledged.

For leisure travellers, the brand new route opens up thrilling, typically untouched journey choices, as a lot of West Africa is usually missed by vacationers.
