The Nigeria Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has stated he prefers choosing a youthful and recent politician as his working mate.
Mr Obi stated this when he appeared as a visitor on the Come up TV programme, The Morning Present, on Wednesday.
He stated a youthful one who has “one thing to supply” to enrich his ticket can be chosen as an alternative to bringing “an outdated hand” who had been in authority prior to now.
Doyin Okupe, who identify the social gathering submitted to the Independence National Electoral Commission (INEC) as Mr Obi’s working mate in a placeholder capability, stated on Tuesday that Mr Obi and the LP would unveil a substantive vice-presidential candidate earlier than Friday.
There have been speculations that Mr Obi had picked 67-year-old Director of Publicity and Advocacy of Northern Elders Discussion board, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, as his working mate.
