Andrew Oulanyah Ojok, has taken oath because the Member of Parliament for Omoro County, Omoro district through the First Sitting of the Second Session of the eleventh Parliament on Tuesday, 07 June 2022.
Ojok, in his early thirties, is son to the previous Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanyah, who handed away on 20 March 2022 from a hospital in Seattle, United States of America the place he had been admitted for specialised therapy.

He was declared winner of the Omoro County by-election by the Electoral Fee on 26 Could 2022 after garnering 14,224 of the overall votes forged in opposition to 1,633 votes obtained by his closest rival, Simon Toolit Akecha of the Nationwide Unity Platform – NUP.
Within the Parliament sitting that preceded the State of the Nation Handle by President Yoweri Museveni, Speaker Anita Amongst described the late Jacob Oulanyah as an amazing chief, a mentor, and an amazing legislator and requested Ojok to ably signify the curiosity of his constituents like his father did.

The Speaker handed over a duplicate of the Structure of the Republic of Uganda and the Guidelines of Process of Parliament to Ojok to assist him in his legislative function.
Ojok was accompanied to the rostrum by his spouse, grandfather Nathan Okori, Francis Emuna (Uncle), Omoro District Girl Consultant Catherine Lamwaka and Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo.
He resigned his job on the Nationwide Info Expertise Authority to contest within the by-election.
