Nigeria: Govt to Set up Extra Industrial Clusters in 36 States

The Minister of Trade, Commerce and Funding, (FMITI), Dr Doris Anite, has stated the federal authorities plans to ascertain extra industrial clusters in addition to revive present ones to drive Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and industries throughout the nation.

Anite acknowledged this throughout an interplay with authorities officers and members of the enterprise neighborhood in Kano State, including that the clusters would offer entry to backed inputs, energy, entry roads and different infrastructures essential to drive the industries and SMEs to larger productiveness and profitability.

In accordance with the commerce minister, President Bola Tinubu had charged the ministry to encourage agriculture and total improvement of non-oil exports, a press release over the weekend by her media unit stated.

The president’s mandate, Anite stated, can be actualised by means of the method of business clustering.

“For us, making these industries aggressive is a significant objective of this ministry, particularly now that the African Continental Free Commerce Space is creating. It is necessary that we assist the industries and the SMEs scale back their prices of manufacturing in order that they’ll compete favourably in a bigger market.”
