Southern Africa: Zim Welcomes WTO Funding Settlement

Farirai Machivenyika — Zimbabwe has welcomed the finalisation of the Funding Facilitation for Improvement (IFD) Settlement that can improve the capability for creating and least developed international locations to draw international direct funding (FDI) by means of streamlined processes and administrative procedures amongst different advantages.

The Settlement was reached by Ministers of Commerce representing 123 international locations on the ongoing thirteenth World Commerce Organisation (WTO) Ministerial Convention in Abu Dhabi.

Zimbabwe’s delegation is being led by International Affairs and Worldwide Commerce Minister, Dr Frederick Shava.

In a press release, the Ministry mentioned Dr Shava prolonged the nation’s gratitude to the co-ordinators for his or her sterling work in facilitating negotiations to succeed in the historic end result for collaborating WTO members.
